Just wanted to say a big thank you. I tried those gfx settings you guys gave me tonight and I gotta say, the game now runs a lot smoother and looks nicer (ala very high textures/object detail). I also sold 4 of my old mechs and got a Hunchback IIC-A per recommendation too. I like it's high mount points.

1The $15 early adopter basic pack is a pretty decent looking deal. You get:

- 3 mechbays and mechs
- 30 days premium time
- 3 new colours
- unlocked Vagabond camo for all variants
- 2 decals
- 6.5 million cbills
- warhorn, title, badge, standing items

The A does look cool, but its behind an extra paywall

Depending on the size of the Javelin and if it's similar size to the spider, it will be a decent light mech choice and probably a replacement to the Jenner in regards to SRM boating.

I've got the Locust Pirate's Bane but I find lights too hard to control ... I get dizzy trying to move and fight with them.

shame the ecm variant doesnt get any energy hardpoints - ecm might be an end all or anything but its still pretty amazing for midrange+ could be an ok mech as far as IS goes, provided it isnt med sized :p

From the patch notes

The Cooling Efficiency Penalty from Side Torso destruction has been increased to 40% (from 20%).

Hunchback IIC Design Notes: Jump-sniping, particularly among the Clan forces, has seen a bit of a resurgence lately. While we're not touching the offensive capabilities of these HBK-IIC variants, we do feel that jump-sniping with cockpit-level mounts needs to come with a bit more opportunity for counterplay than they currently do. To that end, we're reducing Torso Yaw for the listed HBK-IIC variants to make them more vulnerable to mobile threats.

They have a time machine, it goes where ever they can make the most money out of middle age battle tech fans with too much disposable income.
