So, who's going to be watching the live stream of MechCon this weekend ? NGNG have stated that the event will be live streamed on Piranha Games Twitch channel.

https://www.twitch.tv/piranhagames/

Starts: 3rd December 12:00pm-1:00am (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - Pacific Time Zone)

https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?iso=20161203&p1=256&p2=47&p3=240&p4=72&p5=5&p6=196

which for me (Brisbane) is 6am-7pm Sunday. At least it's not the middle of the night :)

Not arguing with the direct fire option at all. Merely pointing out the escort mode at least makes LRMs usable given the AIs inability to cover from them.
Random modes really is the most ridiculous aspect of this game atm....

A Sergeant in motion outranks a Lieutenant who doesn't know what's going on.

Couldn't they just run a couple of ecm mechs close to the atlas and completely counter the lolrms though?

I guess if it always follows the same path you could just blind fire it to death without exposing almost anything.

Teamwork is essential, it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.

No I definitely wanna see it get blind fired to death with lrms now. Headshot is too quick, the defenders get a "oh, damn" kind of feeling but 5 minutes of lrm from all over the map as people just drop missiles into the Atlas' path would be more like "wtfwtfwtfmakeitstop" :p

Being serious tho, NARC might have a direct role now and mechs that get buffs to it. Like the Warhawk B.

...<sniggle>... Sorry. I was being serious.

I've said for a while now that NARC's are useful, not for LRM's but for the ~60 seconds of vision it gives you of that mech, that's why they're in the OMC mech builds and the strat guide. I'd personally be using them on a raven 3L, griffin 2n or similar though, not a warhawk. It would need to be a fast mech, and good, mech, and not overspending tonnage on what is essentially going to be a pretty puritan scout mech
.

well, yeah, but I was being flippant about the WHK.....

Ive had success in a SHC with narc and two ppcs. Runs v.hot tho. You know, as opposed to just hot with the 3DHS.
Wonder how it'd go with a SSRM MDD or similar as support..

But I digress, we were bashing PGI on their new game mode; down with those asshats!
